I thought I would post a little about my current activities.<br />I'm a medical researcher at the University of North Carolina. My work is related to brain damage in premature infants but I only work with mice.<br />I'm pretty much a big science geek - a self-described person who never grew out of the childhood phase of asking "Why ...?"<br />I really like my job - I've had a few stinkers, so I appreciate enjoying my 9 to 5 activities.<br />I won't bore the internet with anything specific, but here are some pictures of mouse brains!!<br /><a href="http://pics.livejournal.com/killingbecky/pic/000azre5/"><img width="233" height="240" border="0" src="http://pics.livejournal.com/killingbecky/pic/000azre5/s320x240" alt="" /></a><a href="http://pics.livejournal.com/killingbecky/pic/000b099s/"><img width="231" height="240" border="0" src="http://pics.livejournal.com/killingbecky/pic/000b099s/s320x240" alt="" /></a><br /><br />Ooooohhh! The first one is just a generic tissue stain to see the details and the second is a specific stain for a special protein.<br />I deal with a lot of mouse brains.<br />I also do DNA work...<br />But I'll save that for later.................. to be continued...........................
